Having been a dancer since the age of 18, Donyelle was a top four finalist on the hit television show So You Think You Can Dance.
She began training in ballet, and also studied jazz, modern and hip hop dance styles, as well as taking voice training and acting. She teaches dance, and in the summer of 2006, was chosen as a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance on FOX.
Previously, she was a dancer for Black Eyed Peas and Missy Elliot videos. She also appeared in the movie “Be Cool” and had an interview on The Tyra Banks Show.
In addition, she won at the television show Dance 360. At present, she works as a jazz and hip hop dancer, choreographer and teacher.
Donyelle was a top four finalist on Season 2 of So You Think You Can Dance, despite being the oldest contestant and not fitting the stereotypical dancer’s “body image”. Despite her weight and a broken toe during the competition, she received high marks from the judges and finished as 2nd runner-up.
