Join us! We are happy to invite you to participate in our Certificate Program (MDCCP), a comprehensive training course open to US and foreign students at our internationally acclaimed facility.

The Millennium Dance Complex is known worldwide as the premiere studio of the commercial dance world and is widely referred to as a ‘the place where it all happens’. Although the studio’s A-list clientele and a faculty of the most sought after dancers and choreographers in the world has catapulted MILLENNIUM to a global brand, it still remains notably grounded, welcoming and dedicated to the highest level of service and instruction.

Become a part of the iconic world that is Millennium and the vibrant Los Angeles dance community. Join us for the experience of a lifetime as you train side by side with fellow dancers from across the globe for our first ever program receiving official documentation certificate of completion, an integral part of a dancer’s training that will benefit you wherever your dance path may lead you.

If you’re thinking about moving to Los Angeles to pursue your career as a professional dancer, or want to be apart of an intensive program, the certificate program is a great avenue. My role as Millennium’s student advisor is to not only inform students about classes and teachers, but give them one on one advice about the dance industry itself. Whether it is how to get an agent, find out about auditions, or simply go to dance events/performances and meet new people. I will be checking in on students to make sure they are getting the full benefits of the program by attending the classes that are best suited for them individually.

Yes, previous dance training is necessary. The program is designed for intermediate to advanced dancers. Dancers with strong training backgrounds will find many opportunities to rapidly achieve new skill and artistic levels. Beginners will not be accepted into the program.

What is the minimum age for the Certificate Program?

The minimum age is 15, no exceptions.

Can I work while in the MDCCP?

Yes, domestic students & anyone with a valid work permit for the United States may accept employment as long as it does not impact your ability to train and complete your schedule.

Can I go to auditions while in the program?

Yes, you can go to auditions during your studies. You will also be able to attend any open auditions that are being held at our studio.

Will you help me find auditions, an agent or a job after the program?

No, we do not help in audition or job search. That is an agents job. If you don’t have any knowledge about all the talent agencies that are out there, you can put in a Google search. There are multiple knowledgeable dancers out there, that have created lists with talent agent information.

Do you help with student visas?

No, you cannot obtain a student visa through Millennium. Millennium is a world class dance studio open to dancers of all levels and ages. We are not an educational institution. We do not have the ability to issue I-20 visa letters which are required for a student visa. We will provide you with a letter of your acceptance into our program containing information about our program for your personal usage to your local embassy, but you will only be able to obtain a tourist visa.

How do I find housing?

For housing, please visit GIRLS ONLY.
Boys, families, etc., if you need any recommendations, we are happy to refer you other housing options, and our list of local hotels and homestays where visiting dancers have stayed in the past.

No, you cannot. The minimum duration is 2 months. No exceptions. If you cannot or do not want to do 2 months, check out our Dance Pass and other classes packages here.

Who should the letter of recommendation be from?

The letter of recommendation should be from someone that has previously worked with you (teacher, mentor, co-worker, employer, etc.). Someone who can tell us a little about you and your work ethics.

What should the essay be about? And how long should it be?

In the essay tell us about yourself, what you expect to receive from the program, why you would be a positive addition and your future goals. We recommend half a page to a full page for your essay.

The certificate program pushed me to have an organized schedule, it also allowed me to take classes that I thought where “out” of my style, but I ended up loving them and trying out new things! Besides all the amazing people I got to meet and be friends with from all around the world, this was an amazing experience and I would do it again any time if I have the chance!

The Certificate Program was so amazing and challenging for me. Every day you learn something really good with people, the staff that was very nice to me, and also with all the teachers you get to know here. The best part for me is that you can go at any time of the day and feel like you are getting better every hour. It’s really worth it!

I have learned so much since the program, it has helped me realize new dreams I never thought were possible and achieve goals that I had!  The friends and relationships with teachers/mentors are something I will appreciate forever!! The atmosphere is so welcoming and they push you to your fullest potential (teachers won’t let you give up).

The mentor classes, being just a small class of students which you already know, were so nice – a good break from those filled classes. Every day was a new goal, a new challenge to complete!

Coming back home and owning a studio, it helps students realize that you can do anything, helps them with their training and it’s great for them to hear the stories of the real world!

I can’t wait to come back!!

For me the best part was the overall atmosphere of the studio. Everything, from how friendly everyone was, to how great all the teachers and classes were, it just felt right. The huge variety of teachers who all teach differently is amazing as well. My ability to pick up choreography improved so much from the program. In the beginning it took me a couple classes to get the choreography and in the end, I was able to get it in one class most of the time. Overall it was one of my best experiences ever and I can’t wait to return.
